Itinerary

Arrive at Paro Airport or Phuentsholing Gate - Representative from” AriseDev Tours and Treks “will receive the guests at Paro Airport or Phuentsholing. While traveling by air, it is mandatory to carry a passport. While entering Bhutan through Phuentsholing Gate, entry and route permits will be processed at Phuentsholing Immigration Office.

Travel to Thimphu - Guests will enjoy the views of beautiful mountains, and valleys while sightseeing on the way.

National Memorial Chorten –An iconic monument located in the heart of Thimphu city: people of all ages come here to circumambulate and recite scary prayers

Buddha Point-One of the largest Buddha statue in the world situated on the hillock overlooking the whole Thimphu valley below.

BBS Tower and Motithang Takin Preserve/Mini Zoo - A walk around the wildlife reserve to see the national animal of Bhutan (Takin). Also, explore the sights of breathtaking views of Thimphu city from the BBS tower area.

Changangkha Monastery - Discover the oldest Monastery (Temple) in Bhutan, where newborn babies in Thimphu receive names.

Tashichhoedzong- Once a Buddhist monastery and a fortress is presently the seat of the Royal Government of Bhutan and the Central Monastic Body, including the summer residence of the Je Khenpo (Chief Abbot of Bhutan). It is an impressive structure, which houses the throne room of His Majesty the King of Bhutan.

Crafts Market – Shopping for souvenirs from the crafts market. Visitors will find an interesting assortment of genuine Bhutanese handicrafts and textiles available for sale here.

Stroll Clock Tower and ThimphuTown- Stroll around the heart of Thimphu city. Witness the buzzing crowd and check into local shops and handicraft stores. Do not forget to try the delicious local cuisines.

Tango -Tango monastery is about half an hour hike from the parking area. Originally, it was the resident of Phajo Drugom Shigpo in the 13th century. It was rebuilt in its present form in 1688 by Tenzin Rabgye, the 4th Temporal Ruler of Bhutan and 1st Tri Rinpoche. The monastery was restored in the mid-1990s and is now the residence of 7th Tri Rinpoche, the young incarnation of Tenzin Rabgye. It is also a Buddhist university.

Cheri monastery -Cheri monastery is a 45 minutes walk distance from the base, Bhutan’s first monastery, and was built by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1620 after overcoming a local demon. Cheri is still an important place for meditation retreats for many monks.

Travel to Paro -A journey to a historical place that holds many sacred sites and temples, providing breath-taking views of Mount Everest, Kanchen Junga, and other Himalayan Peaks including scared Jhomolhari and Mount Jichu Drake in Bhutan.

Tachog Lhakhang - It is a private temple, which is connected by an Iron Chain Bridge and gives you the remarkable experience of walking through the bridge. It is a photographer’s delight.

Dumtseg Lhakhang -Located in the heart of Paro town, the construction of this temple has freed the valley from leprosy as per history.

Kyichu Lhakhang - Tour Bhutan’s oldest & most beautiful temple where you will get to witness the two orange trees in the courtyard of the temple bearing fruit throughout the year.

Chelela Pass - The excursion drive to Chele-la pass is a perfect place to walk for a few minutes enjoying the uncontaminated and fresh air, fabulous nature, and stunning views of the sacred mountain Jomolhari and Jichu Drake if the weather is clear.

 

Paro Taktsang - Enjoy an unforgettable experience of trekking to Paro Taktsang, which is located on the mountain cliff overlooking the Paro Valley and surrounded by majestic mountains and emerald green valleys.

Return Travel to Paro Airport or Phuentsholing–Guests will travel back to Paro Airport or Phuentsholing for out bound journey.
